KUALA LUMPUR – Petaling Jaya police will mount 16 roadblocks, including 10 mobile ones, to ensure adherence to the standard operating procedures during the two-week Covid-19 lockdown that started today.
In a statement, they said six roadblocks will be set up at the Subang, Sg Buloh, Kota Damansara and Damansara toll plazas, on the Federal Highway, and in Taman Kannagapuram.
The mobile roadblocks will be mounted in areas under the purview of the district police headquarters.
In addition, there will be 20 task-force teams monitoring SOP compliance, as well as 14 MPV patrol teams.
The operation involves 38 senior officers and 343 personnel.
Petaling Jaya police chief Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid urged the public to cooperate and heed the SOPs set by the government. – The Vibes, June 1, 2021
