TUARAN – Police arrested a pair of alleged drug pushers who are siblings, after a raid in an unnumbered house in Kg Baru-Baru here on Wednesday.

The suspects, a 34-year-old man and his 22-year-old sister, were packing syabu (crystal meth) in small portions when they were arrested, Tuaran police chief Mohd Hamizi Halim said.

Around 323 grammes of syabu with the street value of RM33,360 were confiscated from the siblings, he said.

“The drugs are believed to be sold in the village and also in Tuaran.

“The amount of drugs yielded was enough to supply up to 1,620 drug addicts,” he said here today.

Police are still investigating the source of their syabu supply.

The case is being investigated under Section 29B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. – The Vibes, June 18, 2021
