MIRI – Three new Covid-19 fatalities were reported at Sibu Hospital today.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee secretariat said the deaths involved a 52-year-old man, and two women aged 60 and 82.

These bring the state’s coronavirus death toll to 424.

Two new clusters were recorded – the Jalan Tasik Baru workplace cluster in Bau district with 19 infected, and Sg Bedil Besar community cluster in Kuching with 31 cases.

The state logged 289 new infections, with Kuching seeing 64, Sibu (37), Saratok (24), Miri and Bintulu (22 each), Sarikei (16) and other districts (fewer than 15). – The Vibes, July 7, 2021
