KUALA LUMPUR – Covid-19 vaccine recipients who suspect that they have been administered an empty syringe can take an antibody test to check whether they have indeed been immunised, said Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan.
Jalil in a statement today also advised such recipients to lodge a report so further investigations can be carried out.
“Following the media statement issued yesterday, police are still receiving many complaints and enquiries regarding the uneasiness of Covid-19 vaccine recipients.
“For recipients who are anxious and feel cheated, they can take the Covid-19 neutralising antibody test at a licensed medical laboratory 30 days after receiving the second dose to confirm the presence of antibodies in the body.”
He also urged the public to lodge a complaint if they come across fake offers or fraudulent sales of Covid-19 vaccines in the online or physical market.
“So far, police have not detected any syndicate or individual suspected of trying to sell the vaccine to the public in secret or otherwise.” – Bernama, July 24, 2021
