KUALA LUMPUR – Aides to former Pakatan Harapan ministers and deputy ministers have lodged a report against PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang over his column published on the Harakahdaily website yesterday, which they said can stoke racial tension among the people and cause hatred towards PH.
Hadi’s article was titled “Politiking untuk Menyingkirkan Islam” (Politicking to Get Rid of Islam).
“We are of the view that this article can incite and spread hatred towards PH,” Nor Miswary Ramli, who is political secretary to Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh, told reporters in front of the Dang Wangi police headquarters today.
The article claims that PH was a government that weakened Islam and its people, to keep them in a state of disarray, or “silent devils”, he added.

“This article intends to cause fear and trepidation to the public, and may lead to a disruption of racial harmony and hatred towards PH.
“As a president of a political party in Malaysia, Hadi’s article can influence his supporters to cause disruption to the harmony in the country and lead to irrational hate among the people.”
He said the article was published to incite hatred among the Muslim Malays in the country.
“The purpose of launching this report is so an investigation and appropriate action can be taken towards those who are responsible for this.”
The report called for an investigation to be carried out under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. – The Vibes, July 31, 2021
