BUTTERWORTH – Penang Perikatan Nasional (PN) is conducting monthly meetings to get the feedback, and to know and understand local issues and problems at the grassroots.
State PN chairman and Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Shabudin Yahaya said the coalition is looking to engage with the state and federal governments to resolve the issues and problems faced by the grassroots.
“We are committed to resolve the problems of the local people as our PN representatives on the ground will meet them to understand their problems.”
Shabudin, who is also the chairman of Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia, said this after handing out cash aid to students who have enrolled in higher education institutions recently.
A total of 148 students received RM200 each, amounting to RM30,000, during an event held at Tasek Gelugor parliamentary service centre today.
About 500 students of all races entering the higher education institutions from Tasek Gelugor parliamentary constituency will receive the cash aid.
Penang PN is a coalition of Bersatu, PAS, Gerakan and PPP.
He said PN is strengthening its existence in Penang to face the next general election as the PN’s component parties and its representatives have experience of working and serving the people on the ground.
Shabudin said in an effort to strengthen the coalition, PN is having a retreat in Kuala Lumpur next week for sessions on the current political environment in the country. – The Vibes, November 5, 2021
