KUALA LUMPUR – Pasir Salak MP Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman is possibly the ambassador-designate to Indonesia.
Rumours of his appointment have been rife for more than a month although he has skirted the issue.
“It is not nice for me to comment on this,” he had said.
However, today, Tajuddin was spotted accompanying Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on his three-day official visit to Indonesia.
Wisma Putra has yet to issue an official announcement on Tajuddin’s appointment.
The Vibes has reached out to Tajuddin for comments.
Aside from the Pasir Salak lawmaker, Ismail Sabri is accompanied by Foreign Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, and officials from the relevant ministries and agencies.
They were all seen wearing Malaysian batik as part of their official attire for the visit.
According to a statement issued by Wisma Putra today, the visit itinerary includes meetings with Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
During the visit, Ismail Sabri is also scheduled to meet with the Indonesian business community and industry players, chief editors of the Indonesian media, and the Malaysian diaspora in Indonesia, and witness the signing of the memoranda of understanding and agreement between the two countries.
The itinerary also includes a visit to a defence industry facility in Bandung. – The Vibes, November 9, 2021
