KUALA LUMPUR – The Ministry of Health has recorded 834 new cases of Covid-19 as of noon today, bringing the cumulative number of infections nationwide to 33,339 cases.

Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the nation also saw 900 recoveries today, from a total of 23,120 recoveries since the pandemic began.

The ministry also recorded two more deaths today, bringing the overall death toll to 251 cases, or 0.8% of overall cases.

Noor Hisham said Sabah recorded the highest number of infections today at 503, followed by the Klang Valley with 157 reported transmissions.

Labuan saw a six-fold rise in cases from 18 yesterday to 105 today.

Noor Hisham said 91 cases were placed in intensive care units with 32 requiring ventilator support. – The Vibes, November 2, 2020
