KUCHING – Members of Sarawak Pakatan Harapan (PH) comprising PKR, DAP and Amanah will be campaigning for the December 18 state elections using their own manifestos, said state PKR acting chief Abang Zulkifli Abang Engkeh today.

He said: “The state PKR does not foresee any problem with individual parties wanting to contest on the strength of their own manifestos.”

On another note, he said, his party will reveal its list of candidates tomorrow.

“We want to first iron out things with the state DAP on three overlapping seats.

“The three seats are Kemena, Senadin, and Piasau. We still have time to sort matters out over these three seats.”

Abang Zulkifli said Sarawak PKR’s intention to contest in Senadin and Piasau is based on the strong ground support given to the incumbent Miri MP Dr Michael Teo.

“Teo won the Miri parliamentary seat in GE14 with plenty of ground support from the Senadin and Piasau voter bank.”

He added that the state PKR is aiming to contest 49 seats, including Senadin and Piasau. – The Vibes, December 2, 2021
