MIRI – The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government has clearly failed the rakyat, especially those in the interiors, according to state PKR information chief Abun Sui Anyit.
He said there are many who do not even have the most basic of daily amenities such as roads, water, and electricity.
“The wealth of this state is in the hands of powerful politicians and their elite cronies.
“They continue plundering wealth from resources that belong to the rakyat,” he said.
He also noted the land disputes plaguing natives, which still cause hardships and suffering to rural folk.
The natives have not been given rights to their land, and they continue to lag behind in so many areas, he said.
The party information chief said GPS has shown how oppressive it is, by denying Undi18 voters from exercising their right in this state election.
“It is high time we change the government.
“Sarawak PKR will work hard with the other component partners (in Sarawak Pakatan Harapan) to offer voters an alternative.”
Meanwhile on the state PKR manifesto, it has pledged to put an end to nepotism, cronyism, and corruption among elites, and to fight for Sarawak’s progress.
“We, in PKR, enter this very challenging state election united, and with high hopes.
“After 60 years of enduring injustice, inequality, and corruption by the elites in power, the people of Sarawak are eager for change.
“Our 28 candidates are eager to deliver these changes for the rakyat,” he said, adding that the manifesto for the 12th state election is themed “Progress with Keadilan”. – The Vibes, December 6, 2021
