KUALA LUMPUR – Some 41 areas in the Petaling and Klang districts are facing an unscheduled water supply disruption due to an electrical system failure at the pump house in Bukit Jelutong U8 this morning.

Air Selangor has been implementing emergency repair works since 9.30am today.

In its latest update at 3.45pm, Air Selangor said the water supply is expected to fully recover by 9am tomorrow, depending on the location and distance of the consumers’ premises.

“The repair works for the electrical system at the pump house in Bukit Jelutong U8, Shah Alam was completed at 1.30pm.”

This morning, Air Selangor said the repair works are expected to be completed at 2.30pm today and the water supply will be distributed to the consumers’ premises in stages once the repairs are completed.

The duration of water supply recovery differs from one area to another depending on the location and distance of the consumers’ premises.

Alternative assistance through water tankers will be mobilised to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises during the unscheduled water supply disruption.

Air Selangor is seeking the consumers’ cooperation to practise social distancing and wear face masks while collecting water supply from water tankers.
