KUALA LUMPUR – Perikatan Nasional must still prepare for a general election despite the focus now being on curbing Covid-19 and reviving the economy.

International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said readiness for the polls is important to show the people that the government is strong, stable and able to provide the best services to them.

“I will discharge my duty as best as I can to ensure PN’s performance continues to be strengthened,” Azmin, who has been appointed the pact’s election director, told a press conference after attending the 19th Asean Economic Community Council Meeting, part of the virtual 37th Asean Summit, here yesterday. – Bernama, November 11, 2020
