The Vibes apologises to former Minister of Special Tasks Sabah Datuk Seri Panglima Teo Chee Kang for the incorrect photo and name that accompanied the article “Sabah Water Dept ex-official cleared of money laundering worth RM32.9 mil”.
The corresponding name and photo in that article should have been that of former state Water Department deputy director Teo Chee Kong.
Datuk Seri Panglima Teo, who is now a senior lawyer practising in Sabah, played absolutely no role in that case and has maintained an impeccable reputation as a lawyer, politician and government leader.
We have since removed the article from our website and Twitter page.
We deeply regret any hurt or embarrassment to Datuk Seri Panglima Teo, and also apologise to our readers for the inadvertent error.
Nevertheless, action is being taken against the individuals responsible for the mistake. – The Vibes, March 18, 2022
