KUALA LUMPUR – Police today announced they scored their biggest drug bust this year with the seizure of 264.3kg of drugs worth RM26.5 million during a raid here on Thursday.

Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigations Department director Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said police also detained a local Chinese man and three women of Chinese nationality aged between 48 and 56 years old.

Ayob said the three women were found to have entered the country four to five years ago using social visit passes.

“Two vehicles, cash worth RM3,000, a watch worth RM2,000, and jewellery worth RM2,000 were also seized.”

The seized stash, he said, could be supplied to approximately 880,967 users.

“A preliminary screening test on all four suspects found them negative for drugs. They also do not have any criminal records.

“They are being remanded for seven days beginning May 27 and the case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.”

He said the four individuals are believed to be involved in the processing and delivering MDMA drugs to clubgoers and the local market.
