KUALA LUMPUR – Gerik MP Datuk Hasbullah Osman died today of a heart attack. He was 63.

Temenggor assemblyman Salbiah Mohamed confirmed the lawmaker had died in Raub Hospital, Pahang.

Just four days ago, The Star reported that Hasbullah had been chosen to be part of the Public Accounts Committee, replacing an Umno member.

The Umno lawmaker was the former political secretary of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

In the last general election, he won Gerik by a majority of 5,528, defeating candidates from PKR and PAS. – The Vibes, November 16, 2020
