BUKIT MERTAJAM – Some 15 people have been arrested in connection with four online videos, which were published on August 7, depicting bloody fights in front of the Pelita Nasi Kandar outlet in Chai Leng Park, Prai here.

Bukit Mertajam district police chief Tan Cheng San said three individuals were charged in the magistrates’ court yesterday under Section 160 of the Penal Code for committing affray in public.

The three pleaded guilty and were fined RM1,000 each.

The other 12 were later released as there was inadequate evidence to charge them, but their statements were recorded, he said.
