KUALA LUMPUR – The father of a teenage artiste was once again detained at the Petaling Jaya district police headquarters to assist in investigations as he is alleged to have threatened and beat her mother.

Petaling Jaya deputy police chief Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said they arrested the 43-year-old man at the Klang Utara district police headquarters at 4.10pm today.

According to him, the suspect is currently being investigated and will be brought to court tomorrow to apply for a remand order.

“This is being done to help our investigations based on the police report lodged by the suspect’s ex-wife.

“We are investigating this case under Section 323/506 of the Penal Code, which involves the offence of causing injuries and criminal intimidation,” he told The Vibes’ Bahasa Malaysia sister portal Getaran today.

It was reported yesterday that Klang Utara police chief S. Vijaya Rao said that the suspect was previously detained at the Shah Alam district police headquarters.

The father of the teenage actress involved was remanded for seven days after being arrested at his home in Kedah, for allegedly sexually harassing his daughter.

Police also seized the suspect’s mobile phone and sent it to the police force’s Forensics Department for analysis.

Earlier, the 15-year-old girl lodged a police report at 10.25pm ​​on Thursday regarding the allegations.

Recently, the teenager – through an interview on Youtube – had exposed her father’s unacceptable behaviour, which included allegations of sexual harrassment, in addition to physically assaulting her mother. – The Vibes, September 17, 2022
