KUALA LUMPUR – PKR is ready to face the upcoming elections as the party’s preparations for the polls have run smoothly, said its deputy president Rafizi Ramli.

In a brief video posted on Facebook, Rafizi said negotiations for seat contests within PKR are nearly completed, with only seven or eight constituencies still undergoing talks.

“The screening of candidates has also gone well, and every week we have thousands of machinery members and volunteers who are campaigning in an orderly way by calling fence-sitters, knocking on doors…and so on,” the former Pandan MP said.

“Although the campaign period is shorter than the previous elections, our chances are still as good (as before) as Umno has not regained its strength after losing in the GE2018.”

Rafizi also urged all PKR members, PH supporters, as well as the people – especially the youth – to join its campaign for 15th general election (GE15).

Earlier, PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Malaysians must vote to correct the wrongs and imbalances caused by those in power.

He said the decision to dissolve Parliament effective today to pave the way for an early GE15 was an “offence against decent Malaysians” who are struggling with cost-of-living issues and other hardships. – The Vibes, October 10, 2022
