KUALA PILAH – Four banners featuring Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Nor Azman Mohamad for the Kuala Pilah parliamentary seat have been vandalised.

A resident of Kg Seberang Pekan here, known as Ahmad, said the vandalised display was spotted yesterday in the village and near the Malay bazaar area, and was described as “cheap politics” by a few.

“We condemn this action (vandalism) by those who are irresponsible,” he told The Vibes’ sister portal Getaran today.

According to him, voters can judge for themselves who the vandals possibly involved in this are, and make their own choice.

“From this, we can see who really wants to serve the people.”

Ahmad, who is also a member of the Village Community Management Council, said that they had lodged a police report yesterday on the incident.

“We suspect that this happened because of a certain disgruntled individual. We lodged a police report so an investigation could be carried out.”

Meanwhile, in a post on his Facebook page, Nor Azman expressed his disappointment over the provocation because it defames the spirit of democracy in Malaysia.

“I think in 2022 we are all mature enough to know the difference. The campaign has just started and the avenues for me to campaign are quite limited.”

The Kuala Pilah seat will witness a five-cornered clash, including Nor Azman, incumbent Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith of Perikatan Nasional, Barisan Nasional’s Datuk Adnan Abu Hassan, Pejuang’s Kamarulzaman Kamdias, and Warisan’s Datuk Azman Idris. – The Vibes, November 7, 2022
