KUALA LUMPUR – Barely 24 hours after service disruption on the Kelana Jaya LRT line, service is down again with stations between Ampang Park and Kelana Jaya closed and free buses deployed to transport commuters instead.

RapidKL in a series of tweets since this afternoon first reported the service disruption between the KLCC station and Kelana Jaya station.

Then, at 4.49pm, RapidKL said that stations from Kelana Jaya to Ampang Park had been closed to commuters.

“Commuters are asked to use the free bus service provided or take alternative modes of transport. We apologise for the inconvenience.”

Its subsequent tweets provided the number plates of free buses that had been deployed for commuters.

RapidKL said the problem was due to a “technical disruption”.

It also said that the Kelana Jaya line was still active between the Gombak and Damai stations, and the Ara Damansara and Putra Heights stations.

Service between Kelana Jaya and Ampang Park was disrupted last night and was attributed to problems with the automatic driving system. – The Vibes, November 8, 2022
