KUALA LUMPUR – Local co-working outfit WORQ will offer free co-working passes during the voting period between November 14 to 18, in an effort to give more working Malaysians a chance to head to the ballot box.

In a statement today, WORQ CEO and co-founder Stephanie Ping said the offer made to those unable to obtain leave during the period requires them to show either their plane, bus, or travel schedules to access a “hot desk”.

This can be done at any of their three co-working outlets, namely WORQ TTDI at Glo Damansara, WORQ KL Gateway at Bangsar South, and WORQ Subang at UOA Business Park.

“The announcement of the general election has forced many people to adjust their plans and schedules in order to make time to return home to cast their votes.

“Some employees took time off to vote, but others didn't. We know how tough it is to manage work and the election, so we wanted to give Malaysians a secure atmosphere in which to continue working.

“Just bring the necessary paperwork to any of WORQ’s three co-working locations, and their employees will help you get a Hot Desk pass”, she said.

Ping said those who use their free passes can take advantage of WORQ’s co-working spaces’ many benefits, such as free coffee, unlimited snacks, and super-fast internet access.

WORQ has expanded considerably over the previous 12 months, with the majority of its four sites, three co-working spaces, and one enterprise workspace operating at nearly full capacity.

The company is also in the process of opening their fourth co-working location, which will occupy 36,000 sq ft, at KL Sentral.

This new addition, which will soon be in the city centre, will become WORQ’s biggest site next year. – The Vibes, November 9, 2022
