KUALA LUMPUR – An alleged affair ended badly when a 71-year-old man was stabbed to death after being suspected of having an affair with someone’s wife.

The victim was stabbed in his right lung, thigh and shoulder yesterday evening at a supermarket parking lot in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Kajang.

Kajang police chief Mohd Zaid Hassan said in a statement that a report was submitted by a Serdang Hospital medical officer at 6.29pm, informing the authorities that a senior citizen was injured after being stabbed.

He added that the victim was placed in an emergency ward but died at 11.05pm last night.

“At 1.35am, police detained a 51-year-old man and his wife, 45, around Serdang Hospital and in the federal capital, respectively.

“Investigations found that the man had admitted to hurting the victim. It is believed that the suspect became angry about the supposed affair between his wife and the victim. The woman and the victim were in a car in the parking lot.”

Police also seized the victim’s vehicle, the suspect’s bloody clothes and a receipt for the purchase of a knife.

The two are remanded for seven days until next Friday, and the case is being investigated for murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Police are also encouraging anyone with information about the case to go to their nearest station or to contact investigating officer Redzuan Salleh at 013-785 4100.

Zaid said investigations found that the man was angry when he found his wife and the victim in the same car at the scene.

The victim’s car, four handphones, the clothes worn by the suspect that contained blood stains and a receipt for a knife were seized.

He said that the two individuals are being remanded for seven days until December 2. – The Vibes, November 26, 2022
