Unidentified man found murdered in Rawang, hands and feet bound

KUALA LUMPUR – A body of an unidentified man was found with his hands and feet bound on the side of Jalan Bestari Jaya-Rawang today.

Gombak district police chief Zainal Mohamed Mohamed said a local man discovered the body and alerted the Rawang police at 11.40am today.

Following this, he added that a team from the Gombak district police headquarters, including forensic personnel and the K9 unit, were deployed to the scene to conduct an investigation.

“Initial findings showed that the victim was a man in his 40s. But no identification documents were found on his person.

“Police also found that the victim’s hands and feet were bound with nylon rope. There were also serious injuries to his head,” he said in a statement.

The man was also found wearing a maroon T-shirt and a pair of H&G brand black shorts.

Currently, the case is being investigated for murder while the remains have been sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem.
