Water disruption: 83 areas in Gombak, KL city centre affected

KUALA LUMPUR – Some 83 areas in Gombak and the city centre here are facing unscheduled water supply disruption due to a burst pipe at the Bukit Indah Industrial Park in Sg Buloh.

In a statement today, Air Selangor said repair works have been ongoing since around 9am and are expected to be completed by 10pm.

It added that water tankers are being mobilised to affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics and dialysis centres.

Of the affected areas, 12 are localities in the federal capital, including Bukit Bandaraya, Bukit Bangsar, Brickfields, Jalan Khoo Teik Eee and Serene Villa Kiara.

“Water supply will be restored in stages once repair works are completed.

“The supply restoration will vary for all affected areas as it depends on the water pressure of the distribution system and distance to premises.” – The Vibes, January 1, 2023
