KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia today recorded 851 new coronavirus cases and two deaths.
Of the fresh infections, only four are imported cases.
Selangor recorded the highest number of new cases at 249, followed by Sabah (229) and Johor (102).
The two deaths are recorded in Sabah.
Meanwhile, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said five new clusters have been recorded.
The Desa Pinang cluster involves Kepong, Lembah Pantai, Titiwangsa, Cheras and Gombak. Its index case was detected on November 28 and by today, the cluster had 25 positive cases.
The Impian cluster is centred in Gombak, with its index cases recorded on November 29. It currently has nine cases.
The Baloi cluster covers Johor Baru and Pontian, where its index case was detected on November 28. It now has a total of 30 infections.
The Jernai cluster is in Titiwangsa with a total of 13 cases. Its index cases was recorded on November 29.
Lastly, the Seri Wangsa cluster is also in Titiwangsa, where a total of eight cases have been detected. Its index case was recorded on November 29. – The Vibes, December 2, 2020
