KUALA LUMPUR – Maybank and CIMB are offering flood victims a six-month moratorium while the government will be discussing with other banks to offer similar financial assistance, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He told Dewan Rakyat today that this suggestion was mooted by the Johor government to help those badly affected by the ongoing floods.

Anwar (Tambun-PH) added that other financial aid from the government has been disbursed.

Yesterday, Agrobank announced that it is offering a moratorium and fee exemption on replacing ATM cards and passbooks.
