Court fines Felcra staff RM10,000 for Perak Tengah Land Office fraud

IPOH – A Felcra Bhd senior executive assistant was fined RM10,000 by the sessions court, here, today after pleading guilty to misleading the Perak Tengah Land and District Office over a land application two years ago. 

Rosnani Hashim, 55, made the plea after the charge against her was read out before Judge Rozilah Salleh. 

The court also ordered the accused to serve one month in jail if she failed to pay the fine. The accused paid the fine. 

According to the charge sheet, Rosnani had fraudulently induced a member of the district land selection committee to believe that another woman had made an application for agricultural land in Bota, on April 24, 2019, while the accused knew it was untrue. 

The offence was committed at the Perak Tengah District Administrative Complex parking lot in Seri Iskandar, Perak at about 11.20 am on September 2, 2021. 

Deputy public prosecutor Maziyah Mansor appeared for the prosecution while Rosnani was unrepresented. – Bernama, March 9, 2023
