PUTRAJAYA – Malaysia today recorded 959 Covid-19 cases and five new deaths, said the Health Ministry.
This brings the cumulative cases to 76,265 and the death toll to 393 cases.
The ministry also recorded four new clusters – Kupi-Kupi, Ikon Bintang construction site, Bandar Impian and Jalan Kemang.
The Kupi-Kupi cluster is in Penampang, Sabah. As of December 2, 12 Covid-19 cases have been recorded.
The Ikon Bintang cluster involves Lembah Pantai and Kepong in Kuala Lumpur. The targeted screening recorded 12 positive cases of the 532 screened.
The Bandar Impian cluster involves location in three states – Kluang, Johor; Pasir Puteh, Kelantan and Kuala Kangsar in Perak. Out of the 58 screened, nine tested positive for Covid-19.
The Jalan Kemang cluster in Port Dickson has detected 19 cases. So far, 257 individuals were screened.
Meanwhile, total recoveries today are at 1,068 cases, while 127 are under intensive care and 61 needing ventilator aid.
