KUALA LUMPUR – Remember the television show Kids Say The Darndest Things? Children have a way of coming up with things that will put a smile on your face, and in some cases, elicit a reply from companies’ social media accounts.

A Twitter user recently shared a video of a child on a light rail transit (LRT) train.

In that video, the child was reading out the RapidKL warning sign on the train which listed down the things that are prohibited.

Twitter user @wanariefimran tagged RapidKL in the post, saying: “Salam @AskRapidKL Betul ka ni? (Is this true).”

So, what did the child say in the video?

The little one began identifying the symbols displayed on the train’s window.

“It says, no water, no sampah, no durian, no cats and dogs,” she said, referring to the signs that stipulated no food and beverages, no littering, no durians, and no pets allowed on board.

The following symbols were where the child turned heads – she confidently said, “No elephants and no fire.”

The official RapidKL Twitter account promptly replied to @wanariefimran, saying, “Betul. No elephant in the train please.”

The “elephant” image the child was referring to was a silhouette of two heads facing each other to indicate “no indecent behaviour”.

The silhouette of one head bore a ponytail, which to the child, possibly resembled an elephant’s trunk and her innocent mind simply mistook it as elephants are barred from the train.

The video has garnered over 40k views since it was shared and netizens were glad to observe some cuteness on their timeline.

So, remember this the next time you plan on bringing your pet elephant out – they cannot ride the train. – The Vibes, August 8, 2023
