PETALING JAYA – A white cat was seemingly painted purple at a local university, incurring the anger of many who saw the video.
Twitter user @twttaca shared a short clip of a white cat that had significant streaks of purple on it.
From the photos shared, it is evident that the cat did not run into a bottle of purple dye by himself, as there were drawings on his body of an X and a smiley emoji.
From the exchange @twttaca had with other Twitter users, it is learnt that they found the cat at Mahallah Ali of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) campus in Gombak.
A kindhearted individual took the cat to the vet and had also conducted crowdfunding to help pay for the bill.
According to an update, the dye did not only coat the fur but had also affected the cat’s skin.
The Twitter post has garnered over 1.2 million views since it was published several days ago.
“Even if the cat had an attitude problem, don’t do this to them, they can't think,” @twttaca said.

It is believed that the cat is a stray familiar to the residents of the college.
Those who saw the Twitter post expressed outrage at what happened.
“Whattt??? The student who did this…I pray you won't graduate,” said @xXbobbyXx__.
“Whoever did this to this cat, may your day always be depressing, may you always be hungry, always tired.
“May no one love you. May you always break up with your boyfriend/girlfriend.
“May the clothes you iron burn. May you always lose your socks, and may your shoes keep getting smaller.
“May your friends run away and you're always in a bad mood,” said a clearly upset @FazDzi. – The Vibes, September 18, 2023
