PETALING JAYA – Rapid KL has always emphasised that eating is not permitted on board their trains.

Even their social media accounts previously took to sharing pixelated photos of passengers who flout the rule.

Other social media users have also been sharing photos and videos of passengers spotted eating or drinking on board.

In a recent post on TikTok, while it is unclear when exactly the incident happened, a passenger was seen not only eating, but getting a little too comfortable during his train ride.

The passenger took off his shoes and put it aside, dangling his stocking covered feet for all to see.

This was said to have happened on board the light rail transit (LRT) train’s Kelana Jaya line.

TikTok user @teachercalvintan shared the video which he said was obtained from a friend. The video has garnered over 46,000 views since it was shared two days ago.

There were also litter and crumbs spotted underneath the passenger’s seat although it is unclear if the litter belonged to the man.

Many users tagged Rapid KL in the comment section, in hopes of getting them to notice the uncouth behaviour.

The administrator of Rapid KL’s TikTok account noticed the video and left a comment asking if the person who recorded had reported the matter when it happened for immediate action.

They stressed that eating was not permitted on trains and said if anyone encountered such an incident, they were advised to report to them immediately with the train number.

“We apologise for the discomfort this caused and will always monitor to ensure these incidents do not repeat,” Rapid KL said. – The Vibes, October 10, 2023
