KUALA LUMPUR – National track cycling champion Datuk Mohd Azizulhasni Awang has made donations to flood victims in several areas such as Temerloh, Pahang and Sepang, Selangor to ease their burden.

In a posting on his social media yesterday, the rider, dubbed “The Pocket Rocket Man”, said that the contributions were TeamAzizul’s initiative based on responsibility and concern as a fellow Malaysian.

“TeamAzizul provided assistance directly to the victims with the help of local NGOs (non-governmental organisations) who are very caring and helpful. We have sent assistance in the form dry food and drinks as well as water pumps to facilitate them in doing cleaning work.

“For the next project, we are trying to provide assistance to each of the families with a set of rice cooker, two-burner gas stove, mattresses and pillows which will cost RM300 for one family,” said the post.

The silver medallist of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic keirin event added that those who are interested in helping the flood victims can contribute through the Maybank account of his uncle, Mohamad Uzir Ahmad at account number 564155553941, with the reference TeamBantuBanjir. – Bernama, December 27, 2021
