KUALA LUMPUR – Mobile virtual network operator XOX Bhd (XOX) has fully acquired Premier League team Perak FC through its subsidiary XOX Pro Sport Sdn Bhd.

According to XOX, its mission is to continue to be actively involved in sports to rebuild the heritage of Perak FC and regain the team’s stability and success.

“This takeover is in line with the strategy of XOX Pro Sport to focus fully on sports marketing and management,” XOX said in a statement today.

The board of directors and executive of XOX have entrusted the management responsibility for Perak FC’s daily operations to a team led by chief executive officer Bobie Farid Shamuddin.

“XOX hopes that this announcement will give all fans a sense of stability and security with the knowledge that the club is now in safe hands,” it added.
