KUALA LUMPUR – PDRM FC and Perak FC are still looking for their first win in the 2023 Super League after both teams drew 0-0  at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium last night.

Both clubs were trashed in their opening matches as PDRM fell 4-0 to Sabah while Perak lost 4-1 to Kedah.

The first half of the match saw PDRM and Perak have equal opportunities to score but failed to convert as the goalkeepers at both ends made outstanding saves to keep the scores level.

In the second-half, the intensity of both teams dropped and they were unable to find the net.

Speaking after the match, PDRM head coach Azzmi Aziz said it was worrying to watch his charges fail to score despite their many chances in front of goal.

“We had chances but failed to score. My players need to be sharper in front of the goal.

“We need to analyse Kedah’s game as we meet them next. We hope we can get full points in that match,” he said.

Meanwhile Perak head coach Datuk Lim Teong Kim said that he was satisfied with their first point of the season as it was an away match.

“Getting a point from an away match is better than losing three points. However the problem now is poor finishing and I need to work with the players and improve that area.

“The players played well but seemed to lose their calmness when we were on the attack.

“Maybe because they are young and need more experience,” Teong Kim added.
