KUALA LUMPUR – National racer Jazeman Jaafar has joined forces with Viper Niza Racing for an all-Malaysian team at the Sepang 12 Hours this weekend alongside Douglas Khoo and Dominic Ang.

Making his debut in the freshly built Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Jazeman said he is thrilled and excited for the opportunity to work together with a highly respected team and race an Aston Martin for the first time.

“It is an honour and privilege to be competing with this team, which is blessed with a wealth of experience, having previously competed in various categories and championships such as the Asian Le Mans Series and 24 Hours Series.

“I am really looking forward to testing out the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and sharing my feedback with the team to work on the car set-up and strategy for the race.

“It is going to be very challenging, as I expect competition to be very stiff, given the event’s prestige. But we will be ready to give our best and make Malaysia proud,” he said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Viper Niza Team Principal and driver Douglas said the team jumped on the opportunity to be back racing at the Sepang 12 Hours.

“On behalf of the team, I would like to congratulate the Sepang International Circuit for bringing back an incredibly exciting event after 12 years.

“As the team is still very much new to racing the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, we wanted to have as many experienced drivers assist with the car set-up as well as to be fast and competitive on the grid.

“Jazeman’s wealth of experience racing different types of cars reinforces this and brings significant benefit to the team moving forward,” he said.
