KUALA TERENGGANU – Former Selangor FC midfielder Nor Hakim Hassan has signed a one-year contract with the Kuala Nerus-based Terengganu FC (TFC).
Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Ab Rasid Jusoh said the 32-year-old would boost the Turtles’ midfield strength ahead of the second round of the Super League as well as in the Malaysia Cup and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup, which begins in August.
“We hope he will help TFC improve our standings in the Super League and do well in other important tournaments,” he said in a statement today.
Former national player Nor Hakim, meanwhile, is thrilled to finally get a chance to play for his home team again, having represented T-Team FC in 2015.
He also can’t wait to start training under Tomislav Steinbruckner, who also coached T-Team FC in 2015.
Nor Hakim had previously helped Perak FC lift the Malaysia Cup in 2018 before moving to Selangor FC, where he played for four seasons.
He also played six times for Harimau Malaya, with his last outing coming in 2022 when he helped Malaysia qualify for the semi-finals of the Asean Football Federation Mitsubishi Electric Cup. – Bernama, May 31, 2023
