COMMUNICATIONS Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has been conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Datuk Paduka Mahkota Selangor (D.P.M.S.), which carries the title Datuk, in conjunction with the 80th birthday celebration of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, on Thursday (11 December).

Fahmi was among 98 individuals recognised with state awards and medals during an investiture ceremony held at the Balairung Seri of Istana Alam Shah.

The D.P.M.S. award, which grants the title Datuk for men and Datin Paduka for women, was also presented to Selangor Rural Development, Unity and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Rizam Ismail. In total, 16 recipients received the D.P.M.S. honour.

Sultan Sharafuddin graced the ceremony, which marked His Royal Highness’s official birthday and celebrated contributions across public service, administration, civil society and industry.

Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah and his consort, Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz, were also in attendance.

Heading the list of honourees was the Sultan’s daughter, Tengku Zerafina, who led the roster of 98 recipients receiving Selangor state awards, honours and medals in conjunction with the Ruler’s official birthday. - December 11, 2025
