US coronavirus infections breach 11 million

MOSCOW – The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the US has surpassed 11 million, while the death toll stands at more than 246,000, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University.

As of 2215 GMT yesterday, there were 11,000,984 infections in the country, including 246,006 deaths, said the institution, as reported by the Sputnik news agency.

A total of 4,148,444 people have recovered from Covid-19 in the US, the data showed.

The US has the highest number of cases worldwide, as well as the highest death toll, according to the World Health Organisation website. – Bernama, November 16, 2020
