Indonesia logs record 5,828 new coronavirus infections

JAKARTA – Indonesia today recorded its highest daily Covid-19 tally at 5,828 cases, taking the national total to 522,581.

Of overall cases, 437,456 have recovered, according to data shared by the National Board for Disaster Management on Twitter.

In the 24 hours up to noon today, 169 coronavirus patients died, pushing total fatalities to 16,521.

Jakarta province has the highest number of infections at 132,961, of which 1,436 were registered today.

East Java has the most deaths at 4,314. – Bernama, November 27, 2020
