THE Chuan Hoe Coffee Factory is based in Klang, Selangor. They have been supplying Traditional Hainan Coffee powder and Ceylon Tea powder since 1960. The process involves Nasir Sarifah pouring coffee beans in a pan. In order to make coffee powder, coffee beans needs to mix with sugar and butter.

For me to take this picture, my camera settings are very important. A fast shutter speed is required capture the right freeze frame as my subject, Nasir, poured the coffee beans and I had to capture it in motion.

I had to get ready early before he poured the beans. If I missed, I would have to wait for another process to start and it would normally take him about an hour for him to finish the first one.

The thing I like in this picture are the shafts of morning light coming through the open windows and more clearly because the place is full of smoke. The light gives mood, pattern and ambiance to the picture and setting. – The Vibes, June 26, 2022
