BRITISH actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson is set to play the next James Bond, according to reports. Daniel Craig starred in his final outing as the super-spy last year.

Speculations have been rife as to who would play the next 007 after the announcement in 2020 that No Time to Die would be Craig's final movie.

Recently the rumours have grown louder as talks of Craig's successor have pointed in the direction of Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Taylor-Johnson, 32, has appeared in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, Kick-Ass, and Avengers: Age of Ultron, where he played Pietro, or Quicksilver.

Deuxmoi, a celebrity gossip Instagram page, broke the news, saying an anonymous source told the platform that "Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be the next Bond."

It added that a "mini-trailer of him doing the famous Bond shot is going to be released in March/April 2023 to announce him as the new actor."

While this new development has not been confirmed, it remains to be seen whether Taylor-Johnson will be fronting one of Britain's most famous and iconic movie franchises.
