PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman shared a light-hearted moment recently in the Parliament lobby.

Syed Saddiq earlier gifted Anwar with two baju Melayu from a local brand which he has been promoting on social media.

One was in blue - Anwar's favourite colour and the colours of PKR, while the other was pink.

Syed Saddiq shared his encounter with Anwar on Instagram and tagged Bella Astillah, a local singer who partnered with him in many of the brand’s promotional campaigns.

“Bella needs to be next to me, then I can wear it," quipped Anwar upon receiving the gifts.

In response, Syed Saddiq said "Jangan kacau Datuk Seri, itu saya punya. Kasi chance lah Datuk Seri,”.

“Just joking,” said Anwar as he laughed and tapped Syed Saddiq's shoulder.

Anwar then proceeded to ask “So when is it?... Have you set the date yet?”.

“Let’s just pray for it, Datuk Seri, don’t worry ... Whatever happens, you’ll be the first to know,” replied Syed Saddiq. – March 6, 2025
