CAT Supermarket, in collaboration with Pertubuhan Pencinta Hidupan Melaka (PPHM) and Melaka Strays Guardian Alliance (MSGA), will organise a cat adoption drive on June 20 and 27, 2026, from 1 pm to 5 pm at Cat Supermarket Bukit Baru, Melaka.

The event aims to promote the “Adopt, Don’t Shop” concept while raising public awareness of animal welfare issues.

According to PPHM, a total of 88 rescued cats and dogs were successfully adopted between January and April 2026.

To encourage more people to adopt rescued animals, Evocat Functional Cat Food will sponsor one free pack of Evocat cat food for every successful adopter, helping new owners provide quality nutrition for their newly adopted cats.

Successful adopters will also receive an RM50 cat gift pack sponsored by MSGA, an RM50 neutering voucher sponsored by CS Vet, a cat care consultation and post-adoption support from rescuers.

For kitten adoptions, a refundable neutering deposit will be collected to ensure sterilisation is carried out at the appropriate age.

“We hope this event will help more people understand the importance of adoption and create more opportunities for rescued cats to become part of loving families,” said a representative from Cat Supermarket.

Visitors are also welcome to learn more about cat care, nutrition management and preventive healthcare.

Cat Supermarket is a specialised cat retail chain and a Malaysia Book of Records holder for, among others, the largest cat supermarket in Malaysia and the widest variety of cat products under one roof.

Cat Supermarket provides cat food, supplies and related services while actively supporting animal welfare, adoption programmes and community initiatives. – June 9, 2026
