SINCE last year, Zoo Negara has suffered at the hands of Covid-19. Its animals and workers have been hit especially hard, with the shuttering of its doors, in the face of the movement control orders (MCOs).
According to Juice Online, many kind Malaysians from Ebit Lew and the Reddit community have helped Zoo Negara in the past year. But the MCO 3.0 and its extension have resulted in Zoo Negara needing help in form of volunteers.
The zoo is seeking animal lovers to make up for its lack of staff. Through Rescue Bencana Malaysia, the zoo has asked for volunteers to feed the animals and clean their cages. They will be permitted to leave their homes to aid the zoo's operations.
