LAST night, Sabah native Wenanita Angang, 23, was crowned the winner of Miss World Malaysia 2022, while Sarawakian Evelyn Ting was named first runner-up, and Anya Kimberly, also from Sabah, was the third winner. The winner was decided by online poll.

Hailing from Kuala Penyu, Wenanita beat 14 other contestants in the competition and will now represent Malaysia in the Miss World 2022 contest.

She currently works in Kuala Lumpur as a conference producer.

Held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), other attendees included Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska and Miss World Malaysia 2021 Lavanya Sivaji.

Ting, for her part, was awarded the Miss World Sarawak 2022 title for receiving the most online votes during the semifinals of the world’s longest running beauty pageant. – The Vibes, August 28, 2022
