WHILE most e-hailing drivers take on the gig to make a living and earn some extra cash, there are a limited few who do it out of “sheer boredom”.

Social media user @megat_suprax recently took to TikTok to relate how he was shocked when his Grab driver turned up to fetch him in a Mercedes C200.

The driver turned out to be an elderly man who told his passenger that he was doing it out of “sheer boredom” and was fed up sitting at home.

In the video, the driver, who is a friendly “uncle”, has a good chat with his passenger while the duo are on their way.

Netizens were equally shocked and, at the same time, full of praise for the “uncle” for venturing out of his comfort zone and taking on this new adventure. – The Vibes, December 4, 2023
