“WE will meet again ya ‘abang’. Wait for mummy, ok? Mommy misses hugging, kissing, and playing with you so much. You will always be mommy’s eldest, irreplaceable. Forgive me if there were shortcomings during the time I raised you.“

These were the words of Ismanira Abdul Manaf, 28, the mother of autistic child, Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, 6, who was found dead near a river, about 100m from Apartment Idaman in Damansara Damai after she reported him missing on Tuesday.

She wrote this in the caption alongside a picture of her with a child believed to be Zayn Rayyan.

Through her post on Instagram, the distraught mother also apologised for keeping silent all this while following the tragedy.

She said she was unable to respond to messages as both her handphone and her husband, Zaim Ikhwan Zahari’s, 28 were still with the police pending investigations.

Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan yesterday said police believe there were criminal elements involved, and the case is being probed under section 302 of the Penal Code.

“The post-mortem revealed injuries to the boy’s neck and body,” he said.

“Thank you to everyone who has prayed for us. Please continue praying for us to have the strength. I am still emotionally unstable. This is the most difficult test in my life. May Allah give me strength,” added Ismanira in her post. – The Vibes, December 9, 2023
