SOCIAL media user Gor Gor Mellvin has expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for helping his family in their time of need.
In his Facebook post, he said he received a call from his eight-year-old son’s teacher informing him that his son was suffering from a nosebleed.
“When we reached SJKC Choong Wen, along Old Klang Road, we took our son and rushed towards Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), but were caught in a bad traffic crawl.
“We were worried as Matthew was due to undergo his third heart surgery in June 2024. He is a patient at the National Heart Institute (IJN),” he said.
Mellvin said they were so worried and luckily, they spotted a police patrol car and stopped it.
“We informed the policemen of our son’s situation and without hesitation, the policemen rushed our son to the UMMC.
“We are so thankful to the policemen for their help though they were probably busy with the king’s coronation,” he said.
Mellvin’s post was later shared on the PDRM Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department’s Facebook page along with a report.
In the report, it was stated that the incident occurred yesterday at about 8.15am when Inspector Muhd Kamaruddin and Corporal Aswad were heading to Bukit Aman.
During that time, traffic was heavy along Old Klang Road when they were stopped by a man who was driving a Perodua Alza.
The report stated that the man asked the two policemen for help to send their son to UMMC as he was suffering from a nosebleed and had heart issues.
“We quickly took action and safely reached UMMC at 8.40am,” read the report.
Netizens have since praised the two officers for their quick action and also wished the child a speedy recovery. – The Vibes, February 1, 2024
