NETIZENS were taken aback after viewing a Facebook post that showed a maggot in a mamak mee goreng dish that went viral recently, goodymy reports.

Since the Facebook user post went viral, it was shared 1,000 times inciting anger and causing alarm to readers.

The post accompanying a video, showed the maggot wriggling in the plate, evoking feelings of nausea and disgust among viewers.

The video's uploader identified the startling discovery at a mamak restaurant in Muadzam Shah, Pahang.

Netizens said it is important to maintain public health safety, even if many mamak vendors are commended for their stringent sanitary measures.

To help maintain food safety and sanitary standards, the public is required to report any instances of tainted food at restaurants to the authorities in reaction to such situations. – The Vibes, April 18, 2024.
