Civil defence personnel rescue 2-year-old trapped in car

THE Civil Defence Force came to the rescue of a two-year-old child who was trapped in a car in Kuala Lumpur last night.

Kuala Lumpur Civil Defence Force operations officer Shahrul Kamar Mohd Johari said in the 8.30pm incident in Jalan Bukit Bintang, the father of the child, a South Korean, had changed his son's diaper in the car before closing the door,

Unaware that the car key was in his child's hand, the man had locked the door, trapping the child alone in the car while his wife and another child remained outside.

"Civil Defence Force personnel, upon receiving the emergency call, were deployed to the location and opened the car door at 8.55pm," he told Bernama last night

He said the Civil Defence Force team took 10 minutes to open the car door. The child was unharmed. – April 23, 2024.
